He first studied at the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Academy of Fine Arts in Rome), graduating in 1937 having specialized in painting.<\/span><em style=\"font-size: 0.75em; vertical-align: super; color: var(--bs-body-color); font-family: var(--bs-body-font-family); font-weight: var(--bs-body-font-weight); text-align: var(--bs-body-text-align);\"><strong>01\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><span style=\"font-style: inherit; color: var(--bs-body-color); font-family: var(--bs-body-font-family); text-align: var(--bs-body-text-align);\">Upon returning to Aleppo, he taught fine arts at Al-Ma\u2019moun High School and established an art institute for the youth. Additionally, he studied archeology at L\u2019ecole de Louvre.<\/span><em style=\"font-size: 0.75em; vertical-align: super; color: var(--bs-body-color); font-family: var(--bs-body-font-family); font-weight: var(--bs-body-font-weight); text-align: var(--bs-body-text-align);\"><strong>03\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--bs-body-color); font-family: var(--bs-body-font-family); text-align: var(--bs-body-text-align);\">He supervised the restoration of many heritage sites around Syria, such as \u2018Tel Mari\u2019 and \u2018Ras Shamra\u2019 in 1946, and he later accompanied the committee assigned to the restoration of The Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.<\/span><em style=\"font-size: 0.75em; vertical-align: super; color: var(--bs-body-color); font-family: var(--bs-body-font-family); font-weight: var(--bs-body-font-weight); text-align: var(--bs-body-text-align);\"><strong>04\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--bs-body-color); font-family: var(--bs-body-font-family); text-align: var(--bs-body-text-align);\">In the early sixties, he moved to Saudi Arabia due to his interest in Islamic art. He later published several books on the topic: \u201cThe Heritage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia\u201d, and \u201cAsir: Heritage and Civilization\u201d. In his later years, he commenced work on \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var(--bs-body-color); font-family: var(--bs-body-font-family); text-align: var(--bs-body-text-align);\">Spiritual Edifices of Islam\u201d a book that depicts images of mosques around the Islamic world. Unfortunately, he would not be able to finish the project because of his ailing health, and although 100 drawings were completed, the book was never published. The executed drawings were kept and exhibited in the National Museum of King Abdelaziz in Riyadh. Throughout his life, Al-Hariri\u2019s work was displayed in many exhibitions worldwide, and in 1992 the French government awarded him a <\/span><i style=\"font-weight: inherit; color: var(--bs-body-color);
